My Fellow Tar Heels,

I would like to begin by congratulating all candidates and their teams on their outstanding work over the last few months. Thank you for believing in my vision for a Carolina that works for all of us. Last night, I spoke with Student Body President Jaleah Taylor, who has offered her full support in ensuring a smooth transition in the coming weeks.

 

Throughout the campaign, I outlined a new path for the future of our student government—one that delivers positive change and builds a more supportive institution. Make no mistake: the student body has chosen this path, and I look forward to delivering that and so much more working alongside my administration and all of student government–including our graduate representatives.

 

In the weeks ahead, I will begin conversations with university administrators, take steps to repair relationships with student organizations, assess the current state of the Executive Branch, and implement the necessary adjustments to ensure we can fulfill the promises made throughout this campaign.

Once again, thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve and give back to a community that has given me so much.
